Demi & Joe Exposed

So I’ve been thinking a lot lately about celebrity relationships. I know, that probably doesn’t interest you, but I need to vent.

Last time I checked, relationships are supposed to be private, personal affairs. Am I right? A relationship is a bond created by two individuals. Being attracted to one another and having similar interests is what brings people together. It's a shame that something like the paparazzi can easily break the bond that two people create with one another.

Now tell me, how would you like it if every move that you and your significant other made, was available for the entire world to see? I know that I personally would be devastated. That is my personal business and I don’t think that I could deal with that sort of exposure.

For example, say you and your boyfriend or girlfriend wanted to enjoy a fun, romantic evening together. Maybe you would go out to dinner and then catch a movie afterward. You know, the typical date. Would you like it if you leaned in to give them a sweet kiss and then you were interrupted by the CLICK of a camera?

The paparazzi has caught you right in the midst of it and the next thing you know, your face is plastered all over the front page of a magazine. Included, of course, would be a story about you and your mystery date and naturally, there will be some type of scandal involved.

Well celebrities have to deal with this on a daily basis. With them, there is no privacy. Earlier today, I was reading something from People Magazine about Disney co-stars Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato. They have recently confirmed that they are dating. Isn’t that sweet? Well, now that they have gone public with their relationship, the paparazzi are trying to find any attempt possible to catch them together.

Is that really fair? Just because they are two talented young stars looking for love, their relationship has fallen in the hands of the “stalkerazzi.” As I was reading the interview about them confirming they are together, I came across a link that revealed a picture of the happy couple holding hands. That isn’t really a bad picture to have revealed, however, what if they had been kissing? Then what?

Since they are both Disney Channel stars they would have been seen as acting inappropriately. Especially considering Joe Jonas has made a promise to maintain pure until marriage. Now look at it this way, if they were just two random inhabitants, then people would think nothing of it. Right? It really ticks me off knowing that the paparazzi are interfering with these people’s personal lives and relationships! Why can’t they just leave them alone?

There are plenty of other aspects of celebrities’ lives that can be broadcast. Why must they hunt them down to get a picture of something so very personal? I don’t think that I could manage all that publicity! I know that these particular individuals have careers that put them in the limelight, but why should their personal lives and happiness be jeopardized just so that the public can get a glimpse of celebrity romance?

Although they are public figures, they are entitled to privacy like the rest of us.

It really isn’t fair! So what do you think about all of this? I would definitely appreciate an outsiders point of view.
