Paparazzi Crackdown

I recently came across an interesting article involving California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. In October of 2009, governor Schwarzenegger signed an Anti-Paparazzi bill. This bill will fine the paparazzi for taking photographs that violate the privacy rights of celebrities, as well as fining the media that purchase and expose the photos.

Get ready to start paying the big bucks! This law came into effect in January. The paparazzi really need to be careful now, because they can be fined up to $50,000.

It's about time that somebody stepped in to help protect the privacy rights of celebrities. There has been too many altercations between celebrities and the paparazzi and I believe that this law will help prevent conflicts in the future.

I'm thankful that legal actions are being taken.

For example, when Miley Cyrus, who was 16 at the time, was shooting a music video in San Clarita, she had a slight wardrobe malfunction where her breast had accidentally slipped out of her dress. Her "nip-slip," was exposed to at least 15 crew members and the on looking paparazzi. Pictures of the young star were then plastered all over the web for everyone to see! Keep in mind that this girl was only 16 years old and her bare chest was available to all sorts of people; including grown men.

Now tell me, don't you believe that the paparazzi should be sued for this? They exposed a young girl to the public. She is a minor for crying out loud! The Anti-Paparazzi bill that the California governor has passed can make sure that pictures like that will not be available to the public without repercussions.

Here is the video posted by CNN over the matter.
